Wash and mash 3 quarts berries.  Let stand at room temperature
for 3 days.  Strain berries and add 1 fifth vodka and let
stand 1 day at room temperature.  Make a syrup of 3 cups water
and 4 cups sugar - boil 5 min and cool.  add syrup to berry
and vodka mixture.  Bottle and cork.  Let stand 30
days.

I’ve used other types of berries and my aunt used pie cherries (good).
I’ve, also used frozen berries..  It seems to be
good without waiting 30 days.
